- International students are expected to follow the same rules as Canadian students set out in the
Student Handbook.
- International students must bring a written note from their host family or custodian each time they are absent. They are not exempt from this rule even if they are over 18. International students are subject to Ottawa International Student Program (OISP) rules.
- Extended absences (5 days+) must be approved by the principal. The parent/custodian must write a note to explain the reason for the absence and give it to the main office.
- Frequent absenteeism will be reported to the guardian and the OISP office as well as the student`s parents via email.
- International students must take a FULL timetable and must strive to maintain a minimum C+ average.
- International students should make sure that travel arrangements do not interfere with the school calendar year.

non-english speaking country or from a French language board in Quebec, please call the
Family Reception Centre at
613-239-2416 to make an appointment for an assessment.
