Take Our Kids To Work Day is Wednesday, November 14th!  All Grade 9 students in Canada will have the opportunity to accompany a parent, guardian or significant adult in their workplace for the day.

The Take Our Kids To Work program illustrates the importance of education, skills development and training while giving students the opportunity to experience the world of work and the variety of career choices that await them.

Take Our Kids To Work gives students a chance to:
*share a day with a significant adult and develop a closer relationship
*See a parent/guardian in a different role
*understand what people do to earn a living and support a family
*clarify goals for the future so they can choose the appropriate school courses

All Grade 9 students received a consent form in their Period 3 class on Wednesday, October 24th via their Link Leaders.  Please fill out this form and have your child return it to the school Main Office as soon as possible.

The Learning Partnership website is key to understanding the workings of Take Our Kids To Work day.  Further information and ideas (including consent form) can be found on their website:

Participating in a workplace, even for a day, is an extremely valuable learning experience that can make what students are learning in the classroom come alive.  The Take Our Kids To Work program enables the entire community- parents, teachers and workplaces - to play an important role in the career development of young Canadians.  Thank you so much for supporting this worthwhile educational experience!
